Dr. Prabhakar Kore is a global visionary who has transformed the educational and healthcare landscape of nation building. Serving as the Chairman of the KLE Society from 1984 to 2024, he spearheaded an unprecedented era of expansion, growing the organization from 38 to 310 institutions.

Grassroots Education
Focuses on bringing world-class infrastructure and professional education to the grassroots level. Under his leadership, nearly 50% of KLE's institutions were strategically established in rural and semi-urban regions to ensure geography never limits a student's potential.
Healthcare Revolution
Revolutionized healthcare accessibility in North Karnataka by establishing a state-of-the-art 2,400-bed Hospital & Medical Research Centre in Belagavi, providing advanced super-specialty and organ transplant services.
Global Collaboration
Placed KLE on the global map through collaborations for path-breaking research in maternal and newborn health with organizations like the WHO, Gates Foundation, and King's College London.
Awards & Honours
"In honor of his monumental contributions, Dr. Kore was awarded the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honors, and the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award."
Honorary Doctorates: Conferred by Karnatak University Dharwad and Rani Channamma University.
International Recognition: He is only the second Indian, after Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has also been conferred an Honorary Doctorate of Science by Thomas Jefferson University (USA).
